A downhole measurement apparatus comprises a seal body (20) configurable from a non-sealing configuration to a sealing configuration to isolate a downhole region, wherein the seal body (20) is configured to permit communication between a measurement device (26) and the isolated region. In one embodiment the seal body (20) defines a port (30) configured to permit communication, such as fluid communication, between the measurement device (26) and the isolated region.
