发明名称 METHOD FOR EVALUATING CENTER SEGREGATION OF CONTINUOUS CASTING SLAB
摘要 The present invention relates to a method for evaluating center segregation of a continuous casting slab. The method of the present invention comprises the steps of: (A) allowing a center segregation of a slab to express an image using an etching solution comprising a picric acid (C6H3N3O7), a cupric chloride (CuCl2), sodium laurylbenzenesulfonate (C18H29SO3Na) and the remainder of distilled water, and (B) evaluating the center segregation of a slab by scanning the image and applying the following <Relational formula>. The <Relational formula> is represented by 2.1+(0.15Y-8.7X)/(2.9×107), wherein X is an area of a center segregated particle, and Y is the area of the remaining segregated particles excluding a center segregated particle. The method of the present invention allows an image of a center segregation for low-carbon steel having a C-content in slab of 0.04 wt% or less as well as ultra low-sulfur steel having a S-content in slab of 50 ppm or less to be expressed with high resolution and be quantified. Thus, the method of the present invention enables abnormalities which can occur in the casting process to be quickly detected and dealt with.
