PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a travel support device allowing a target speed to be set for suppressing unnecessary acceleration and deceleration. SOLUTION: The travel support device 1 for setting the target speed of a vehicle, includes other-vehicle speed acquisition means 11, 21 which acquire the speeds of the other vehicles around the vehicle; and a target speed calculation means 51 which calculates the target speed based on the speeds of the other vehicles acquired by the other-vehicle speed acquisition means 11, 21. When the target speed calculation means 51 can acquire the speeds of the plurality of other vehicles preceding the vehicle by the other-vehicle speed acquisition means 11, 21, a heavier weight for contributing to the target speed calculation is applied to the other vehicle running at a smaller speed among the plurality of other vehicles.
