<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image editing device and a computer program capable of editing such as magnification, reduction, moving, and rotation etc. freely, and editing for images at a plurality of pages such as moving of an object between images at the plurality of pages and summarizing images at the plurality of pages etc., while improving operability. <P>SOLUTION: The device detects a contact operation position to a display screen of a display 5 where a read image is displayed. Based on the detected result, the device receives the designation of an edit area to be edited. In addition, the device receives an instruction concerning editing based on the detected result. According to the received instruction, the device edits the image displayed on the display 5.
