PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine which can prevent excitement and enjoyment of a game from decreasing. SOLUTION: The game machine has a start pocket which allows the receiving of game balls shot into a playfield. When the game balls win the start pocket, a lottery processing for the jackpot is conducted at a predetermined winning probability. As a result, when the jackpot is won, a jackpot game which awards players a special favor is conducted. In this process, the game machine carries out a suspension performance suggesting the degree of expectation for the lottery processing for the jackpot at a stage before it is conducted.
