PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a regenerative heating apparatus having an external data collection function and a control method thereof which can collect various data such as external temperature change and perform more efficient heat storage and heating accordingly. SOLUTION: The regenerative heating apparatus includes an outdoor temperature detection part for detecting an outdoor temperature, a regenerative heater for storing heat therein by nighttime power, a storage heat temperature detection part for detecting the temperature of the regenerative heater, a server for calculating a heat storage amount from the outdoor temperature detected by the outdoor temperature detection part so as to control the operation state of the regenerative heater and supplying the stored heat to many fan heaters so as to control indoor heating, the many fan heaters for heating rooms, and a data processor/collector for transmitting data from the server to the fan heaters to inquire the current states of the fan heaters and transmitting data collected from the fan heaters to the server.
