PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce fluctuation in output voltage when switching converters are switched according to an output power. SOLUTION: When the output current is lower than a switching current value, a power supply 1 starts driving of a first switching converter 3. When the output current thereafter becomes higher than a value smaller than the switching current value, the power supply 1 starts driving a second switching converter 4 and then stops driving the first switching converter 3. When driving the first switching converter 3 and the second switching converter 4 is started or stopped, the duty ratio of MOSFET Q1 or MOSFET Q1 is not rapidly changed but it is gently changed by varying its value more than once.
