PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glow plug suppressing breakage of a ceramic heating element due to drop impact while suppressing deterioration of vibration load while the glow plug is mounted to a diesel engine. SOLUTION: The gravity center CG of the glow plug 10 including the ceramic heating element in which a heating element generating heat by power distribution is embedded in insulating ceramics is positioned in a distance of 8% or more of the total length L from the center CL to the rear end side in the total length L of the glow plug 10, and is located on the front end side from a screw terminal 548 of a male screw part 540.
