The machine (11), has a rotor, a stator and a case (5) for an enclosure arranged between the rotor and an active component of the stator, where the case is made of composite material and glass-fiber reinforced plastic. A flexible sealing is provided for the enclosure. The case has three different outside diameters and smaller wall thickness within a region of a laminated stator core of the active component. The flexible sealing is formed as an O-ring made of fluorelastometric material or neoprene material and deformed by a clamping element. The flexible sealing is made of fluororubber.
