The system has a sensor provided for recognizing a parking place (11) for investigation of a parking vehicle (10') that serves free parking place, where information regarding free parking place is provided with time stamp. The information about the free parking place is investigated by a vehicle that founds in traffic. The information is transmitted directly or indirectly to the parking place searching vehicle in traffic via a central station. The information about the free parking place is compared with vehicle related data. Wheel sensors determine additional vehicle related data. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a navigation device that comprises a vehicle sensor (2) a method for navigation of the parking place to a free parking place.
