An inkjet ink (18) and an intermediate transfer medium (22) for inkjet printing are disclosed herein. During inkjet printing, the inkjet ink (18) forms ink drops (D1, D2) having a contact angle (?) of less than or equal to 50° on the intermediate transfer medium (22), where the contact angle (?) reduces or substantially eliminates coalescence of adjacent ink drops (D1, D2). The contact angle (?) may be obtained by controlling a property of the inkjet ink (18) and/or a property of the surface (20) of the intermediate transfer medium (22).
