<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power loss and heat generation in a light emitting element current driving circuit. <P>SOLUTION: A light emitting element driving apparatus drives N (where N is any integer of 1 or more) light emitting element groups and contains a driving power generation circuit with a least voltage detection circuit as a feedback path, N current driving circuits, and N or less voltage regulation circuits. Each of the N light emitting element groups contain one or more light emitting elements. The driving power generation circuit supplies a predetermined power supply voltage to the N light emitting element groups. The N current driving circuits drives current from the N light emitting element groups via the voltage regulation circuits. Among the N current driving circuits connected to the minimum voltage detection circuit, one which has the lowest voltage between both ends acts as a return path in the driving voltage generation circuit. Even if a voltage between both ends has a difference between the light emitting element groups, the voltage between both ends of the current driving circuit is reduced to the minimum voltage required to operate the current driving circuit or more by the voltage regulation circuits. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
