<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microorganism sensor unit suitable for air conditioners, and an air conditioner mounted with such a microorganism sensor unit. <P>SOLUTION: A microorganism sensor unit for detecting the amount of a microorganism contained in air includes at least one microorganism sensor 160. Each microorganism sensor 160 includes a plurality of nanowire parts 210 formed on a substrate 202. Each nanowire part 210 includes a ZnO nanowire, and a substance layer that is disposed on the surface of each nanowire and reacts with the microorganism.
