<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of a longitudinal seam image by dust attached to a reading surface of a reading means without reducing a productivity in image reading. <P>SOLUTION: Two reading units 117 and 133 read both sides of a document and read dust on a reading surface, and a memory control unit 11b writes read document reading image data and dust detection image data in a memory 11c. A dust detection processing unit of a second image processing unit 11d performs a dust detection determination based on the dust detection image data. A dust correction processing unit performs correction processing of the document reading image data based on dust detection data indicating a dust position detected by the dust detection processing unit, so that an appropriate document reading image without a longitudinal black seam or white seam can be obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
