<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater capable of suitably maintaining the temperature distribution of liquid in a tank and maintaining high heat insulating performance of the tank as a whole while suppressing a material used for a heat insulating part of the tank. <P>SOLUTION: In the water heater, the heat insulating part V including vacuum heat insulating parts 2, 3 is provided around the tank 1. The heat insulating part V is divided into a plurality of regions along the tank height direction.
