PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely wash gaps in a rotor blade mounting part of a steam turbine to prevent generation of pitting corrosion known to become a starting point for stress corrosion cracking and corrosion fatigue. SOLUTION: The steam turbine has, in at least one stage among low pressure stages of the steam turbine including the rotor blade mounting part of an axial entry type, a structure provided with a passage for letting fluid flow in at least one stator blade in a stator blade cascade arrayed circumferentially, wherein the fluid is supplied through the passage to blade groove bottom gaps between the root ends of rotor blades and blade groove bottoms on a rotor side in the rotor blade mounting part facing the stator blade.
