PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver which allows circuit scale of a GPS module to be reduced, a signal processing method, and a program. SOLUTION: The receiver includes: a receiving part that receives a signal from a satellite; a frequency conversion-discretization part that converts the signal received in the receiving part into an intermediate frequency signal of a frequency bandwidth including 0 Hz and discretizes the frequency-converted intermediate frequency signal with a predetermined sampling frequency; a filter part that filters the discretized signal, which is output from the frequency conversion-discretization part, through a predetermined filter; a synchronization acquisition part that obtains synchronization of a spreading code in the discretized signal filtered by the filter part; and a synchronization holding part that holds the synchronization of the spreading code, which is obtained by the synchronization acquisition part.
