摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid extremely long waiting time, particularly when carry commands are temporarily concentrated on a specific area, by shortening the waiting time from the occurrence of a carry command to the assignment. SOLUTION: The number of vacant carrier vehicles in a carrier vehicle system is managed on an area-by-area basis. The movement time of a carrier vehicle required for movement between areas is stored. The number of carry commands with a position in an area as a start point and the number of carry commands with a position in an area as an end point, which will occur in predetermined time duration from now, are managed on the area-by-area basis. From the data in the management means, the time in which the vacant carrier vehicles are in shortage and the number of the shortage of vacant carrier vehicles in the predetermined time duration are calculated on the area-by-area basis. The data in the management means are searched for a fulfilling area having at least one surplus vacant carrier vehicle, at a time before the calculated time by the time duration required for the movement from a departing area to an area having shortage of carrier vehicles. At a substantially earlier time by the time duration for the movement, the vacant carrier vehicle in the fulfilling area is allowed to start moving to the area having shortage of carrier vehicles.
