PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hood panel for an automobile having required lightness in weight and basic rigidity, in addition, having excellent pedestrian head protection performance, and surely achieving impact energy absorption, in the hood panel for the automobile formed of fiber reinforced plastic. SOLUTION: The hood panel 1 for the automobile includes: an outer panel 2 formed of fiber reinforced plastic forming an outer surface; and an inner panel 3 formed of fiber reinforced plastic connected to the outer panel 2. The inner panel 3 includes: an inner peripheral portion 6 disposed at the peripheral portion of the outer panel 2; and an inner planar portion 7 integrally formed with the inner peripheral portion 6.
