<p>From a plurality of imaging units (110) that take pictures of the area around a vehicle, and from an image taken by one of said plurality of imaging units (one of 111, 121, 131, or 141), a value corresponding to the brightness of said image is computed. On the basis of the computed value, a brightness-correction unit (120) corrects the brightness of images obtained from the plurality of imaging units (110). After performing a prescribed coordinate transformation on the brightness-corrected images, said images are composited into a single image, which is then displayed at the same time as an image taken by the abovementioned one imaging unit (one of 111, 121, 131, or 141).</p> |
