The label remover has an adhesive region (12b) formed on a side (12c) of an adhesive carrier, where region of the adhesive carrier includes a non-adhering region (12d) on the side. The adhesive region includes an acrylate-adhesive element, and the adhesive carrier is covered in region of the adhesive region with a protective element i.e. wax-coated protective paper. The adhesive region is extended over a surface of the adhesive carrier. The non-adhering region is formed by a handhold element (16) that is bonded on a boundary area of the adhesive carrier. An independent claim is also included for a method for utilizing a label remover.
