摘要 <p>Disclosed is an organic EL display device, which is provided with a translucent cathode having excellent light reflecting and transmitting characteristics, low light absorbing characteristics, and furthermore, excellent electron implantation characteristics, and which has a high efficiency of taking out light to the outside. The organic EL display device is provided with the organic EL element wherein the anode, an organic layer, an electron implantation layer, and the cathode are laminated in this order toward the observation surface side. The cathode is composed of a thin film formed of silver or a silver-based alloy, and the electron implantation layer includes a first electron implantation layer disposed on the organic layer side, and a second electron implantation layer disposed on the cathode side. The first electron implantation layer is formed of a thin film containing lithium fluoride, and the second electron implantation layer is formed of a thin film containing an alloy of magnesium and silver. The concentration of silver in the alloy is more than 70 wt% but less than 100 wt%, and the average thickness of the film composed of the cathode and the electron implantation layer is 15-25 nm.</p>
