<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain information by hearing even when sense of sight is taken away by a different visual field. <P>SOLUTION: This information output device includes a display 38 with a touch panel, and a plurality of characters are displayed on the screen of the information output device. A plurality of visible messages to which a plurality of characters are assigned respectively are stored in a RAM 36. When a CPU 40 detects a touch operation to a screen, the CPU 40 discriminates to which character the touch operation is directed among the plurality of characters and specifies a visible message corresponding to the discrimination result among the plurality of visible messages stored in the RAM 36.
