摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic cell having excellent pressure resistance even when the electrolytic cell comprises electrode plates made of a brittle material such as a conductive diamond electrode. SOLUTION: The cell comprises an electrode unit 1 having a plurality of electrodes 2 and spacers each interposed between the electrodes which are compressed and fixed on the outside of both end electrodes, and a pair of conducting components respectively connected to the electrodes at both ends of the electrode unit, and the cell is compressed and fixed by clamping with the conducting components on the outside of the electrodes. Preferably, a first elastic member to inwardly press the electrode unit by elastic force is provided outside the electrode unit, and a second elastic member to inwardly press the electrode unit by elastic force is provided outside the outer circumference of the electrode unit. The electrode unit is compressed and fixed by adding the pressing force outside the outer circumference by the second elastic member and adding the pressing force in the inner circumference side by the first elastic member. This manner improves pressure resistance, which prevents damages on electrodes, increase in the cost of exchanging electrodes and decrease in the throughput accompanying the exchange and which facilitates process of an electrolytic liquid in a large flow amount.
