An intraurethral catheter (28) includes an elongate shaft (32) and a tip (34) comprising a unitary member including a curved tip portion (38) and an inflatable balloon portion (36) mountable on a proximal end (54) of the catheter shaft (32). Manufacture of the catheter (28) is simplified by permitting an inflatable retention balloon (36) and a curved insertion tip (38) to be simultaneously secured on a proximal end (54) of the catheter shaft (32).
