<p>The tree has three pieces (1,2,3) joined together by six metallic tubes (4,5). These pivot in recesses (6,7,8,9) to a diagonal position with the leg pieces (2,3) held together and the foot piece (1) is vertical so that the tree can be put into or removed from the boot. The pieces are moved by a knob on top of one leg piece (3). A projection at the top of one leg piece (2) engages in a notch in the other piece (3), above the recess, to hold them together. When horizontal the tubes are held in the recesses by springs (11) and fixing rods (12).</p> |
