PURPOSE: A driving circuit for a liquid crystal display device and a method for driving the same are provided to improve image quality by compensating a fault of image with correction of image data. CONSTITUTION: A distortion data generator(10) detects luminance. The distortion data generator creates distortion data according to common voltage distortion. The distortion data generator generates compensation data. A memory unit(6) stores compensation data. A panel driving unit recompenses the gray level of image data. The panel driving unit displays compensated image data on a liquid crystal panel(2). |
