PURPOSE: A short acting solid dispersion of Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi and an oral formulation containing the same are provided to improve solubility and stability. CONSTITUTION: A short acting solid dispersion contains Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi extact having an index ingredient of bicalein, wogonin, and oroxylin, polyvinyl pyrrolidone, polyoxy ethylene-polyoxy propylene copolymer, methacrylic acid copolymer, or hydroxy propyl methyl cellulose soluble polymer. A method for preparing the solid dispersion comprises: a step of adding polyvinyl pyrrolidone, polyoxy ethylene-polyoxy propylene copolymer, methacrylic acid copolymer, or hydroxy propyl methyl cellulose soluble polymer to Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi extract and dissolving; and a step of drying.
