PURPOSE: A cutter- replaceable small spindle unit and a spindle device with the same are provided to reduce the size of a spindle unit since a screw part forming hole and a sleeve are placed on a large-diameter section and a small diameter part, respectively. CONSTITUTION: A spindle device(100) comprises a spindle unit(10), a housing unit(20), a motor(30), and front and rear bearings(40,50). The spindle unit comprises a bushing(11), a sliding member(12), a collet(13), and an elastic member(14). The collet is fixed to the sliding member. The elastic member pressurizes the collet to a clamping position. The sliding member comprises a body(121) and an annular sleeve(122). The body has a large-diameter section, a small-diameter section, and a screw part forming hole. The screw part forming hole is formed in the large-diameter section. The annular sleeve is arranged in the small-diameter section.
