PURPOSE: A system for transmitting a packet based on a wireless personal area network and a method thereof are provided to operate various broadcasting-based application using MPEG2-TS. CONSTITUTION: A packet transmitting device(100) includes a header compression unit(110), a packet generating unit(120), and a packet transmitting unit(130). The header compression part divides the transmission object IP(Internet protocol) packet. The header compression part compresses the header of the divided packets. The packet generator creates a converting packet for supporting a wireless personal area network. The packet sending part transmits the converting packet through the wireless personal area network.
