The invention relates to dosing devices, namely to dosing devices for the inhalation of a powdery substance, particularly of medicinal type.The dosing device (1) can be activated by the vacuum air stream of the user for the inhalation of a powdery substance (2). The powdery substance (2) is arranged in a supply chamber (15) from which can be brought out of the same into an open emptying-ready position (B) by means of a dosing chamber (40) and a dosing rod (33) when the mouthpiece-closure cap (7) is removed.
