The present invention is related to a food complement for increasing the absorption of nutrients in animals intended ton e commercialized (production of meat, egg, milk or for reproduction purposes) or pets. Said complement consists of a mixture of Calcium carbonate +/- 38(, ethylic alcohol (food grade) at least in a 50%, and drinking water. The invention is also related to the use of Calcium carbonate for preparing a food complement for increasing the absorption of nutrients in animals of commercial interest.
