Provided is a compound which is according to Kahalalide F other than having an amino acid in the cyclic part differing from that in kahalalide F wherein the amino acid L-Phe at position 3 of the cyclic part is substituted by another natural or non natural amino acid, andlor masked with one or more substituent organic groups; and which compound may, optionally, also differ in the side-chain by the modification of the terminal acyl group; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
