PURPOSE: An image storing device for a car available for automatically converting a storing mode of a photographed image and a control method of the same are provided to sense a movement state of a car and to automatically convert a recording mode and a parking monitoring mode, thereby controlling storage of a photographed image. CONSTITUTION: An image storage control unit(50) obtains a first frame and a second frame of a random time interval among a photographed image of a frame buffer(20). The image storage control unit calculates image difference between frames in a set monitoring area. If an image difference exceeds the predetermined reference value, the image storage control unit determines movement of a car. The image storage control unit stores the photographed image by set of a constant recording mode.
