PURPOSE: A portable USB set top box system, which wireless modem including a smart card is combined with, and a method for executing a USB set top box, which the wireless modem is combined with, thereby using the set top box without additional modem. CONSTITUTION: A wireless modem(200) supports the wireless internet. A smart card memory(110) stores identification ID of a smart card. A STB(Set Top Box) authentication module(130) authenticated a USB set top box. A STB execution module(170) provides broadcasting contents through a terminal. A wireless modem authentication module(150) authenticates wireless modem. A USB interface module(300) performs the terminal and an interface.
