Disclosed are cinnamoyl-piperazine derivatives of formula (I), or therapeutically acceptable salts or solvates thereof, wherein the substituents are defined within the specification. Methods of making the said cinnamoyl-piperazine derivatives are also disclosed. Also disclosed is the use of the derivatives of formula (I) for the manufacture of a drug for thrombin-receptor antagonist use and curative and/or preventive treatment of disorders related to PAR-1, an antiplatelet aggregation drug, arterial and/or venous thrombosis, stable angina, heart rhythm disorders, cerebral vascular accidents, heart failure, hypertension, myocardial infarction, atrial fibrillation, myocardial remodelling, acute coronary syndromes, inhabitation of proliferation of smooth muscle cells, inflammatory disorders, pulmonary diseases, gastrointestinal diseases, fibrosis development in chronic liver disease patients, skin diseases, proliferation of endothelial, fibroblast, cardiofibroblast, glial or cancer cells.
