The work station (6) has a conveyor (4) for continuously displacing a piece (10). A guidance rail (18) guides displacement of a tool (20) on the conveyor to perform screwing process on the piece when the piece is displaced by the conveyor. The tool includes a rigid frame. A centering device i.e. pin, mechanically links a position of the tool to that of the piece, where a distal end of the pin is pointed so as to be automatically centered during its introduction into a corresponding housing of the piece. The pin is fixed on the frame without any degree of freedom. An independent claim is also included for a method for realizing continuously running work using a working station.
