Provided is a human monoclonal antibody or fragment thereof which specifically binds to and neutralizes primate GM-CSF, wherein said human monoclonal antibody or fragment thereof specifically binds to an epitope of primate GM-CSF comprising amino acids 23-27(RRLLN) and amino acids 65-77 (GLR/QGSLTKLKGPL). Further provided are specific protein and DNA sequences for such antibodies and their uses in the manufacture of medicaments for various diseases.
