<p>PURPOSE: A reducer of an electric power-assisting steering system is intended to provide a driver with a comfortable driving environment since rattle noises, which are transferred through a wheel and a steering shaft from road surface, are reduced. CONSTITUTION: A reducer(300) of an electric power-assisting steering system comprises a worm shaft bearing(257), a first damper(310a), and a second damper(310b). The worm shaft bearing comprises a ball(258), which is combined between an inner wheel(280) and an outer wheel(270). The worm shaft bearing is combined with the end of the motor shaft combining part of a worm shaft(254) in order to support the rotation of the worm shaft. The first damper and the second damper respectively make contact with one side and the other side of the worm shaft bearing. The first and second dampers are inserted into the worm shaft, support the worm shaft, and absorb rattle noises that are transferred through the worm shaft.</p> |
