<p>The invention relates to a device for determining the maximal compaction degree in pavement mixture layers, comprising two telescopic metal cylinders and a meter rule, where the upper mobile cylinder is provided at its top end with a plate wherein there are cut a slot and two orifices symmetrically arranged thereto, while the lower fixed cylinder to be positioned in the layer to be compacted at the level of the base layer, wherein the upper cylinder slides, is provided at its bottom part with a cover, in the top part thereof there being cut some circular orifices for the withdrawal from the layer to be compacted, the meter rule being introduced into the device through the central slot, after each pass of the compacting equipment, where the upper cylinder is longer than the lower cylinder by several millimeters, being provided at its lower part with two diametrally opposite segments, whose length is equal to the difference between the lengths of the two cylinders, which can enter the base layer through two openings cut into the cover of the lower cylinder bottom, thereby making possible the measurement of thickness of very thin layers.</p> |
