PURPOSE: A display device and a method for setting a short-cut menu of the display device are provided to increase user convenience and reduce the number of key buttons prepared in a remote controller and the volume thereof. CONSTITUTION: A method for setting a short-cut menu of a display device comprises the steps of: storing user key input information inputted from a first point of time; stopping the storage of the user key input information when reaching a second point of time; displaying a pre-stored abbreviation menu list according to a user request; and allowing a key input information reception unit(130) to receive the key input information according to the request command of a user.
