<p>The invention relates to a process and device for operating a plate stretching installation with the view of stretching and straightening laminated or pressed materials, in particular sheets and plates. The claimed process consists in the fact that a clamping head comprises a plurality of segments distributed over its working width, arranged adjacently to one another, perpendicularly to the plane of the material to be stretched, which are provided on their side facing the working region with a clamping jaw extending over the entire width of the clamping head, and, on the side opposing the working region, they are reinforced by a pre-tensioned system in order to form a housing stiff in bending by which there is ensured a safety joint of a clamping head formed of segments with a bending box, independently of the existing force generated by stretching, a pretensioning element is automatically adjusted in the gap occurred between the clamping head and the bending box. The claimed device for carrying out said process consists in that in a gap which occurred depending on the driving force generated by stretching between a clamping head (1) and a bending box (9), a wedge-shaped pre-tensioned element (10) subjected to a permanent pressure is automatically adjusted having a pneumatic unit (11) comprising a piston cylinder as adjusting element, and the frontal walls (12) of the bending box (9) towards the clamping head (1) have a wedge-shaped inclined surface (13) complementary with the wedge-shaped clamping elements (10).</p> |
