The seat has a retractable armrest (2) mounted pivotingly by a rear end on a flange of an armature between a current utilization position and a retracted position. The armrest is supported forward by a foot (3) whose lower end is articulated with respect to the armature. An upper end of the foot is connected to the armrest by a pin (31) that slides in a longitudinal slide (21) of the armrest. The armrest has a hook (51) to lock the pin at an end of the slide located opposite to an articulation (A) of the armrest on the armature.
