A post-cable connection for releasably connecting a cable to a post 24 comprises a post 24 with an internal cavity 92 and a top end extending above the ground level, a downward slot 90 extending downwards from the top of the post 24, and a hairpin cable connector 88 with an elongated section forming a loop through which a cable can be disposed. The elongated section of the hairpin connector 88 has a top section extending at an angle on top. The elongated section of the hairpin connector 88 is inside the cavity 92, with the top section on top of the post 24 such that if the post 24 is hit and pushed towards the ground the cable will be released. |
