<p>An apparatus and a method for distributing media content are disclosed. The apparatus comprises a computing platform. The computing platform is adapted to receive a plurality of protected segments selected from a contiguous media content segment; receive a plurality of gating media segments sequentially interleaved among the plurality of protected segments according to a timeline profile; and provide a user access to each one of the protected segments in response to an access of each associated one of the plurality of gating media segments interleaved to be positioned preceding to its associated one of the protected segments according to the timeline profile.</p> |
