The device has a lower side (20) positioned on an induction hob, and an upper side (24) on which a cookware element (26) i.e. wok, is positioned. A lower induction coil (28) is arranged in proximity of the lower side for inductive coupling to a hob-induction coil (12) in the induction hob. An upper induction coil (30) produces induced current in the cookware element and is connected to the lower induction coil. The upper induction coil and the lower induction coil are of different forms.
