PRECAST CONCRETE SEGMENTS FOR CONSTRUCTING BRIDGE PIERS WITH ELONGATED ROUND HOLES SURROUNDING REINFORCING BARS AND THE METHOD USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A precast concrete segment with arc-shaped reinforcement holes and a bridge construction method using the same are provided to ensure rapid construction of a bridge for downtown area and enough strength and performance at the joint of reinforcements and couplers. CONSTITUTION: A precast concrete segment(100) comprises a segment body made of a concrete structure in which hoop bars are arranged. The segment body has arc-shaped reinforcement holes(122) which are formed long to pass through the top and bottom surfaces and extend along the circumferences of the top and bottom surfaces. A plurality of reinforcements(120) are inserted in the arc-shaped reinforcement holes.
