PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a printing plate for a letterpress printing method for transferring ink applied to a protrusion of a print image, to a printed body to carry out printing, with a clear uneven contour by an easy method.SOLUTION: Pores in the surface of a porous sheet 1 are blocked with a coating layer 2. A non-image part (a recess 5, a region c) excluding the vicinity of an image part (a protrusion 6) is heated with a relatively high heating value by a TPH 3 and a platen roller 4 in a prior stage. The non-image part (the recess 5, the region d) in the vicinity of the image part (the protrusion 6) is then heated with a relatively low heating value by a TPH 3 etc. in a subsequent stage. A portion near the protrusion 6 which is the image part has a small depth, and a boundary shape with the recess 5 which is the non-image part is not impaired. A greater part of the non-image part away from the protrusion has a large depth to prevent greasing and to facilitate adjustment in printing. |
