PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and a program thereof capable of detecting a warning sign for the failure of a fixing device.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus measures the amount of current flowing to a direct current motor that rotatably drives a cylindrical body of the fixing device, and detects a magnitude of vibration of members disposed at the periphery of the fixing device; and the image forming apparatus evaluates the possibility of the fixing device failure, based on the difference between the magnitude of the amount of current and vibration measured or detected, when it is determined that there is no medium between the cylindrical bodies which are rotated by the direct current motor, and the magnitude of the amount of current and vibration measured or detected, when it is determined that there is a medium between the cylindrical bodies. |
