PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To aid a healing process and to enhance tissue strength by bonding separated tissues together.SOLUTION: The gasket 100 for use with a surgical stapling apparatus comprises a diisocyanate end-capped poly(ether ester). In one embodiment, the diisocyanate is selected from a group composed of an aromatic isocyanate, an aliphatic isocyanate and an acyclic isocyanate. In another embodiment, the poly(ether ester) further comprises at least one polyol and at least one poly acid. |
